New York- Christmas Trip

“I want to be a part of it ………….New York, New York”

To see the Rockefeller Christmas tree was always on my bucket list. I had been to New York 2 years previous but got the opportunity to go again last December. The first stop after landing was to the Rockefeller centre, I had to see the tree!!! The first sighting was amazing, anyone who knows me knows that i love Christmas and especially the Christmas lights so this was like the best thing i had ever seen, I could have went home quite happy after the first night haha.

The atmosphere in the city during theΒ  “holiday” season is electric, the lights on 5th avenue and the window displays in the stores are something out of this world.

On our last full day in the city we got to experience the first snowfall of the season. Walking through Central Park in the snow was magical, it could only have been made better by a carriage ride through Central Park in the snow……………………… πŸ™‚

    1. We were there the first week of December and it was very cold, especially when it started snowing and there was a wind chill at times. I would recommend a good warm waterproof jacket, hat, scarf and gloves. I had leggings underneath my jeans which kept me extra warm and kept the chill out. I would also recommend a second pair of gloves or a good pair of leather ones if possible, i found if your gloves get wet your hands will be freezing, if you have a second dry pair it will be a life saver!Enjoy the trip πŸ™‚
